Meet Our Eye Doctors

We want to introduce you to our friendly eye doctors at Professional Eye Care - Optometry PA.

Dr. J. Eric Raynor

Dr. J. Eric Raynor first opened his practice in Hope Mills in November 1993, where it was located in the Main and Trade Building. He then moved the practice across the street in 1999 to our current location at 3701 South Main Street.

Dr. Raynor attended Campbell University and graduated cum laude in 1989, where he studied biology. He then graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While he was in Memphis, he met and married his wife, Susan. Together, they have two children. Their daughter will complete optometry school in 2020. Their son is also studying to be an eye doctor, and is a freshman at Methodist University, where he plays baseball.

Dr. Raynor and his family live in Benson and they are active members of Benson United Methodist Church. Dr. Raynor is proud to be a member of the Vision Source, the AOA, and the Sandhills District of the NC State Optometric Society. Dr. Raynor was even honored by being named Fayetteville’s 2017 Best Optometrist by Up and Coming Weekly.

Dr. Robert Naylor
Dr. Robert Naylor grew up in Clinton, NC and attended NC State University, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in zoology. He then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, undergoing an extended externship at the Hefner VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC, where he specialized in ocular disease and management. 

Dr. Naylor is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Sandhills District of the NC State Optometric Society. Currently, he and his wife, Angela, live in the Fayetteville area. He enjoys fishing and outdoor activities. Dr. Naylor is proud to offer the latest in eye care. In addition to his skills, his dedication to thoughtfulness and kindness will make any patient comfortable.

Dr. Mary Ann Masters

Dr. Masters joined Professional Eye Care in Hope Mills in December 2018. She graduated from Southern College Of Optometry in 1982 after doing her undergraduate work at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Masters lives in Lumberton, NC with her husband, John D. Masters, a CPA and Partner with S. Preston Douglas & Associates, LLP. 


Dr. Masters is a member of the AOA and the Sandhills District of the NC State Optometric Society. She sees patients in our offices in Hope Mills and Elizabethtown. Dr. Masters proudly offers the latest in eye care with kindness and compassion.

Dr. Emily Caroline Raynor

Dr. Raynor joined Professional Eye Care in June 2020 after graduating from Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky. She completed her undergraduate at North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Biological Sciences with concentrations in Human Biology and Chemistry. She received her license from the North Carolina Board of Optometry in March 2021. Dr. Emily Raynor is a member of the AOA and the NC State Optometric Society. Dr. Emily Raynor proudly offers the latest in eye care with kindness and compassion.
